As we welcome 2025, I hope you're feeling recharged and ready to continue the incredible work of transforming your schools and districts through MTSS. I know the road isn’t always easy, but the positive outcomes we’re striving for—for both students and educators—make it all worthwhile.

This is the perfect time to reflect, reset, and refocus your MTSS efforts. As you head into goal-setting meetings, I’ve got a step-by-step approach to help you maximize your impact and keep things streamlined. The overall steps are below and I’ll describe the steps in more detail in the next several blog posts.

Step 1: Gather & Analyze Your Data

  • Focus on follow-up to avoid fizzling out.

  • Share goals publicly.

Step 5: End on a High Note

  • When people leave feeling hopeful and supported, they’ll be motivated to tackle what’s ahead.

This New Year is an opportunity to focus on what matters most—improving outcomes for students and ensuring educators feel supported in the process. With the right tools, strategies, and a little inspiration, I know 2025 can be your best year yet.
